Guest Blog at Flora’s Musings… Dianne Duvall

Hello Lovely Followers,

Today, I’m very excited to be handing over Flora’s Musings… to New York Times and USA Today best-selling author of the Immortal Guardians series and The Gifted Ones series, Dianne Duvall.

It’s over to you, Dianne!

Hello! I’m happy to be here today, celebrating the release of AWAKEN THE DARKNESS, the eighth book in my Immortal Guardians series. If you like powerful immortal males who adore strong, kick-ass women, and lost of action, passion, humor and romance, then I think you’ll enjoy this book. If you’re new to my series, don’t worry. Each book can be read as a stand-alone novel. You’ll just know more about the secondary characters if you read the books in order.

One of the questions I’m often asked by fellow booklovers is what my top five all-time favorite books are. You know, the ones I would want to have with me if I were ever stranded on a deserted island. I admit that something akin to panic usually strikes at the idea of the latter. I have soooo many books on my keeper shelves. Choosing just five seems an impossible task, so I usually counter with, “Can’t I just stock my iPhone with a few thousand ebooks and take a solar charger with me?” Instead of getting away with it, however, I tend to get a huff of laughter and a headshake. So, today I shall endeavour to provide you with…

My Top 5 All-Time Favorite Reads

    • Stephen King’s The Stand.

    • Laurann Dohner’s Numbers.

    • JR Ward’s Lover Awakened.

    • Gena Showalter’s The Darkest Night.

  • Laura Kinsale’s Flowers from the Storm.

These are all books I could read over and over and over again and still want to read one more time.

What about you? What are your Top 5 All-Time Favorite Reads?

Awaken the Darkness  (Immortal Guardians #8)
by Dianne Duvall

Kindle Edition, 414 pages
Publication: 10th July 2018 by Dianne Duvall

Return to the “utterly addictive” (RT Book Reviews), “fast-paced and humorous” (Publishers Weekly) world of New York Times best-selling author Dianne Duvall’s Immortal Guardians.

He awakens encapsulated in dirt with no knowledge of how he came to be there. Riddled with injuries, he can remember neither his past nor who he is. Nor can he remember what he is. But surely no mortal man could survive being buried deep beneath the earth. All he knows with certainty is that the soothing voice and presence of the woman moving around above enables him to endure the agony of his wounds. And he will do whatever it takes to be with her.

When Susan first sees the old two-story house for sale, such warmth and longing fill her that—against all reason—she makes an offer. It will take years of hard work and money she frankly doesn’t have to fix up the place. So she can’t explain why she bought it. She also can’t explain what compels her to spend hours one night, digging in the basement until she unearths a man. A man who still lives and breathes despite having been buried alive. A man whose intense brown eyes glow amber with pain, declaring him far more than ordinary. Susan knows she should keep her distance. He has no memory and possesses gifts that would make most fear him. But as the two work together to unravel the mystery of his past, she finds herself drawn in by his teasing nature and tender touch. So much so that she loses her heart to him even as they find themselves hunted by unknown enemies who are ruthless in their quest to capture them.

  1. LOVED JR Ward’s Lover Awakened and Gena Showalter’s The Darkest Night. Thank you for allowing Dianne to visit your wonderful blog today, Flora. I hope that your readers enjoy AWAKEN THE DARKNESS, available now. 🙂 Happy reading! – Crystal @ Author’s Taproom

  2. Most of the BDB books, all of the IG books, The Host by Stephenie Meyer, The Hunger Games trilogy by Suzanne Collins, and the Night Huntress series by Jeaniene Frost. (Yes I cheated by using a series as a slot as opposed to a single book from the series, because I can’t choose just one from them).

My husband asked me just yesterday how many times I’ve read the Immortal Guardians series…I couldn’t answer because I’d lost count a LONG time ago lol.
