Friday Finds – Little Treasures By Email

Hello my lovelies,

Here we are again – Friday Finds. I hope that you have had a wonderful book packed week since last Friday and even found a few minutes to check out some of the blogs I mentioned last week.

If you are one of my lovely new followers let me explain. I like to read, especially paranormal romance but it’s a big wide literary world out there and I decided back in January that you, my dear followers, might be interested in book reviews about other genres. Ta!Da! My weekly Friday Finds post was born.

Here are some non-paranormal romance book reviews I enjoyed reading this week from the blogs I follow (in no particular order).

Review: The Last Romantics by Tara Conklin from

As I’ve mentioned before, Anne Mendez usually reviews books in the historical fiction genre, including all the sub-genres, e.g. mystery, thriller, romance, etc. which is a genre I rarely read myself but I always enjoy her thoughts.

Harry Potter: A History of Magic Review  from Elaine Howlin – Literary Blogger

Elaine’s reviews are always intelligent and easy to read plus her reading tastes are substantially more varied than mine. Lol! Her blog is also full of beautifully composed photos.

Girlhood by Cat Clarke from Blissfully Devoted to Fiction

As with so many of the book blogs I follow, the reviews posted from this fellow book-a-holic are far more varied than mine. Her reviews are always intelligent and well written.

Review: Moonlight and Whiskey by Tricia Lynne from EBook Obsessed

Lucy’s site is full of reviews, author interviews and book promotions. Even when she’s not enamoured with a book she’s read, her reviews are always worth the time to read. Oh, and she also kindly gives away her paperback ARCs every Friday!

And my final choice this week is from a new blogger that I’ve just started following…

The Donald J. Trump Presidential Twitter Library from All The Book Blog Names Are Taken

Sarah is a big fan of all things historic and although her passion is non-fiction she does get lost in a novel from time to time. I like her writing style and find her posts easy to read and always enjoyable.

So, that’s my picks for this week. I hope you find a moment or two to click at least one of these reviews yourself – who knows you may just find your next favourite author!

As a couple of the bloggers have reviewed audio books this week, I just wanted to remind you that the Audible trial is a great way for you to try Audiobooks. I’m “reading” more and more books like this and find it a really immersive experience. If you sign up , you’ll receive:

  • One free audiobook of your choice.
  • The ability to choose from 200,000+ titles including best sellers, new releases, sci-fi, romances, mysteries, classics, and more.
  • After 30 days, if you choose not to cancel you will receive 1 book each month for just £7.99/month.
  • Cancel easily anytime AND the audiobooks are yours to keep, even if you cancel!

Hope you have a good weekend and manage to read (or listen to) a great story.

Happy Reading!
