Friday Finds – Best Book Reviews Worth Sharing

Hello my lovelies,

It’s time for another Friday Finds post – where are the weeks going?! Luckily my fellow blogging buddies are reading far more books than I am at the moment and my inbox has been packed.

If you are one of my lovely new followers let me just take a moment to explain. I like to read, my favourite genre is paranormal romance and I’ve been known to read urban fantasy and paranormal cozy mysteries too. But it’s a big wide literary world out there and I decided back in January that you, my dear followers, might be interested in the reviews about books from other genres to help you find your next favourite book. Ta!Da! My weekly Friday Finds post was born.

Here are some non-paranormal romance book reviews I enjoyed reading this week from the blogs I follow (in no particular order).

NetGalley ARC: You Are Your Strong by Danielle Dufayet from All The Book Blog Names Are Taken

Sarah is a big fan of all things historic and although her passion is non-fiction she does get lost in a novel from time to time. I like her writing style and find her posts easy to read and always enjoyable. This review of a children’s book all about guilt is no exception.

A Dangerous Collaboration by Deanna Raybourn from Caffeinated Reviewer

Kimberly is a self proclaimed audiobook junkie, avid reader and coffee drinker. She doesn’t limit herself to just reading one genre but I reads books from young adult to hot and steamy romances with a healthy love of a good horror or Zombie book.

Review: Dangerous Beauty by J.T. Geissinger from EBook Obsessed

Lucy’s site is full of reviews, author interviews and book promotions. Even when she’s not enamoured with a book she’s read, her reviews are always worth the time to read. Oh, and she also kindly gives away her paperback ARCs every Friday! I marvelled at Lucy’s objectivity and high rating for this one as a book that ends on a cliffhanger would have lost a serious number of stars from me. Lol!

Book Review – Daisy Jones & The Six by Taylor Jenkins Reid ★★★★☆ from Charlotte Burt’s Books (Formally Engrossed in a Good Book)

Charlotte is an avid reader of all things literary, with a guilty pleasure for fantasy novels but also likes reading non-fiction where the subject has grabbed her interest, most of all books on Buddhism and meditation, art, drawing and painting but also popular science

And I my final choice this week is from a blogger that I’ve only just started following…

ARC Book Review: The Devil Aspect By Craig Russell from JenChaos Reviews

Jennifer is a reader of various genres and is a self-confessed “chaotic reader”. Jen looks first and foremost at the writing itself before the story; she can’t stomach lousy writing. Like me, she feels that if you’re being published, you should know what you are doing in the field of literature; in other words “You should be better at it than me“.

So, that’s my picks for this week. I hope you find a moment or two to click at least one of these reviews yourself – who knows you may just find your next favourite author!

Hope you have a good weekend and manage to read (or listen to) a great story.

Happy Reading!
