Friday Finds – Around The Book Blogging Community plus Book Blogger Hop

Hello Avid Readers,

Today is Friday so it’s time for another Friday Finds post. I have found some great reviews around the blogosphere that I want to share with you this week.

I am enjoying being part of the weekly  Book Blogger Hop meme, hosted by Billy @ Ramblings of a Coffee Addict, so I’m doing it again today and my answer to this week’s question is at the bottom of this post.

If you are one of my lovely new followers let me just take a moment to explain what my Friday Finds posts are all about. I like to read, my favourite genre is paranormal romance but I’ve also been known to curl up with the odd urban fantasy or paranormal cozy mysteries too. But it’s a big wide literary world out there and I decided back in January that you, my dear followers, might be interested in the reviews about books from other genres to help you find your next favourite book. Ta!Da! My weekly Friday Finds post was born.

Here are some non-paranormal romance books that fellow book bloggers enjoyed reading (in no particular order).

Review and Giveaway: All That Impossible Space by Anna Morgan from book’d out

Shelleyrae is another fellow book-a-holic, but unlike me, you’ll find great reviews for books covering many different genres from this Aussie book blogger as well as book promotions and giveaways. 😉

Get ready to be sucker punched! Jersey Six by Jewel E Ann annihilates everything! Review of a brilliant book. from Beware Of The Reader

Sophie, as with most of us, fell in love with reading when she was very young and the passion for books has followed her into adulthood. Her blog is a fabulous place and I always make time to read her posts. I love her honesty and way with words. I loved Sophie’s review here!

Review: A Lady’s Guide to Gossip and Murder (Countess of Harleigh Mystery #2) by Dianne Freeman from

Anne Mendez usually reviews books in the historical fiction genre, including all the sub-genres, e.g. mystery, thriller, romance, etc. and although this is a genre I rarely read myself, I always enjoy her thoughts and I’m almost tempted to dip my toe into the historical pool.

Review – Doyenne by Anne Malcom @malcom_anne from A British Bookworm’s Blog

Jo is a fellow Brit who loves reading but unlike me she reads across the genres and is continually sharing new releases with her followers. She is spreading the reading love and I guarantee that you’ll find something that you’ll want to read! Lol!

And my final find to share with you this week is…

My Husband’s Wife by Amanda Prowse from Blue Mood Cafe

Jonetta loves reading and is fairly eclectic in her tastes and open to most genres. She’s open to exploring new authors and appreciates those who not only write well but can deliciously craft a character and a tale. I really liked this review, especially as the main character in this book is someone nobody could like!

So, that’s my picks for this week. I hope you find a moment or two to click at least one of these reviews yourself – who knows you may just find your next favourite author!

Quick answer – yes. Not every books I read gets a full in depth review but I like to write at least a paragraphs to help other potential readers decided whether it’s the books for them.

Thanks for stopping by and taking the time to read this post. I hope you have a good weekend and manage to read (or listen to) a great story.

Happy Reading!

x
