Friday Finds – Keep Those Books Coming plus Book Blogger Hop

Hello Avid Readers,

Today is Friday so it’s time for another Friday Finds post. I have found some great reviews around the blogosphere that I want to share with you this week.

I am enjoying being part of the weekly  Book Blogger Hop meme too, hosted by Billy @ Ramblings of a Coffee Addict, so I’m doing it again today and my answer to this week’s question is at the bottom of this post.

If you are one of my lovely new followers let me just take a moment to explain what my Friday Finds posts are all about. I like to read, my favourite genre is paranormal romance but I’ve also been known to curl up with the odd urban fantasy or paranormal cozy mysteries too. But it’s a big wide literary world out there and I decided back in January that you, my dear followers, might be interested in the reviews about books from other genres to help you find your next favourite book. Ta!Da! My weekly Friday Finds post was born.

Here are some non-paranormal romance books that fellow book bloggers enjoyed reading (in no particular order).

The One by John Marrs from Blue Mood Cafe

Jonetta loves reading and is fairly eclectic in her tastes and open to most genres. She’s open to exploring new authors and appreciates those who not only write well but can deliciously craft a character and a tale. I really liked this review, she doesn’t give much away but it sounds like an amazingly gripping tale.

The Great Unexpected by Dan Mooney from KayCKay Book Reviews

An avid reader, this amazing book blogger read 217 books in 2018! 217!! She listens to audiobooks confesses to opening up the Kindle app to read books just about any moment she has! I love the way she sets out her pros and cons for each book she tells us about. This book really ticked all her boxes and she can’t recommend it highly enough!

New Release & Review – Never Fall in Love With a Rockstar by Rachel Higginson from A British Bookworm’s Blog

Jo is a fellow Brit who loves reading but unlike me she reads across the genres and is continually sharing new releases with her followers. She is spreading the reading love and I guarantee that you’ll find something that you’ll want to read! Lol!

Foxglove Farm by Christie Barlow Blog Tour with Review from Devilishly Delicious Book Reviews

Christie and Danielle are very passionate about the books they read and want to share that passion with everyone who visits their highly popular blog. They read pretty much anything that interests them and share their reviews as well as taking part in lots of book tours, new release blitz and cover reveals.

And my final review this week is from a blogger that I haven’t been following long but whose blog I look forward to reading…

Last Summer by Kerry Lonsdale from Still Life, With Cracker Crumbs

Erin’s blog is a wonderful mix of book reviews and parenthood and lifestyle posts. I love her outlook and the way she composes her reviews.  This book really had her gripped although she admits that she didn’t like the main characters very much. We’ve all been there, right?! Lol!

So, that’s my picks for this week. I hope you find a moment or two to click at least one of these reviews yourself – who knows you may just find your next favourite author!

Now on to the Book Blogger Hop meme which is hosted by Billy @ Ramblings of a Coffee Addict. A question is posted each week, you answer the question and visit others blogs to see what their answers are. Easy!

So this week’s question is:

Do you always have a book with you? (submitted by Elizabeth @ Silver’s Reviews)

Yes, my Kindle is my constant companion. 😉

Thanks for stopping by and taking the time to read this post. I hope you have a good weekend and manage to read (or listen to) a great story.

Happy Reading!

x

  1. I love your Friday Finds feature and was surprised to see one of mine featured! Thanks for including this one (pun intended) and I promise you a great ride💜

To answer this week’s question…yes! My kindle app or phone for audio is always with me. I listen in the car and while grocery shopping and read while waiting for anything. I’m never without a book. Ever.
