🎧 Audiobook: Stolen by her Bear (Black Ridge Bears #1) by Felicity Heaton

Hello, fellow audiobook addicts! Today, I’m sharing my thoughts about the audiobook of Stolen by her Bear written by Felicity Heaton and narrated by Elizabeth Hart and Troy Duran. The first audiobook in her shifter paranormal romance series, Black Ridge Bears.

The Black Ridge Bears is a completed series but I’m over the moon that Felicity and Tantor Audio are releasing audiobooks of the series.

What did I think about it?

Bad tempers, mistaken identity, exciting fights, and eventually, a HEA. Perfect!

I’m already a HUGE fan of Felicity’s writing style. My review archives are packed to the brim with her titles! I love the way she creates a very believable paranormal world and then fills it with complex, multifaceted characters. She then weaves their stories with such depth that it just draws me in.

Although Stolen by her Bear is novella length, it didn’t fall short of my expectations.

Stolen by her Bear is a great introduction to the bear shifters of Black Ridge, with the added interest of crossover threads from the Cougar Creek Mates and Eternal Mates books. Another two read-worthy series from Felicity. 😘 I loved meeting Saint, Lowe, and Knox; the dangerous, grumpy bears living on the mountain. The serendipitous aspect of this tale was amazing – spontaneous actions leading to wonderful consequences.

Troy Duran and Elizabeth Hart are both new-to-me narrators.

Elizabeth and Troy took the roles of our protagonists, cougar shifter Holly and bear shifter Saint. I enjoyed the variation that these actors brought to the duel point of view. Elizabeth’s performance encapsulated Holly, whose personality shone through in not only the dialogue but the narrative too. Troy’s ability to produce just the right amount of “growl” for Saint and the other males in this story was wonderful; sending shivers down my spine. Together, Justine and Ochlan transported me into this passionate paranormal romance story.

While we’re talking about the protagonists…

I definitely enjoy a story more when the lead female character is intelligent, resilient and has plenty of gumption. Holly didn’t disappoint. She’s a kind and caring soul with sharp claws and even sharper bite when it matters the most. 😘 Saint is a good alpha and leads his pride well. But when woken up from hibernation? Lol! 😂 It made entertaining compelling reading.

I liked Stolen By Her Bear for lots of reasons.

This paranormal romance is a heart-warming story with titillating passion, that also managed to surprise me with unexpected twists. I found myself holding my breath during some amazing fight scenes and sniffing away a few tears when things got emotional.

I’d recommend Stolen By Her Bear to adult readers who are fans of relationship and romance stories. Especially if you like a bit of fire, passion and gritty backstories.
