My #Blogtober a.k.a. 🎃 31 Days of Halloween 🎃

Hello, my spooktacular lovelies. As an audiobook blogger who’s passionate about paranormal romance, cosy paranormal mystery and urban fantasy, most of my reviews fit perfectly with this time of year. However, I’ve joined in with #Blogtober this year which is a daily blogging challenge. This means that I’m trying to mix it up with some suitably Halloween-y book tags, memes and discussion posts too this month.

I haven’t ever tried to post every day before but I’ll do my best to keep it interesting.

Welcome to day 24 of 🎃 31 Days of Halloween 🎃 my version of #Blogtober. It’s time for another list type post. Today, I want to talk about Halloween gifts for bookworms.

Each year I HAVE to buy something new. Shhh! I doit’s the Halloween law. Spending hours happily browsing through Etsy and finding something slightly different, unique and sensibly priced. I don’t think I’m alone when I say I’ve got to watch my pennies. But why is Etsy so alluring?

Why buy items from Etsy?

Ask yourself if these ideas resonate with you?

  • No middleman. You’re doing business directly with a maker.
  • Visibility. You know exactly where in the world the item you’re buying comes from.
  • Value for money. You’re getting a good deal and can make sense of the price.
  • Individuality. You’re buying something truly unique (maybe ooak) that speaks to who you are.
  • Ethics. You are NOT supporting a corporation who also happens to own a mining company, a chemical plant, and a few oil rigs.

The bottom line is that Etsy is a community. It certainly makes more sense to me, does it to you? So, my obsession *uhem* enthusiastic shopping is helping our economy. Plus, it feels good to be supporting small businesses and creative souls who are trying to support themselves.

I’ve been busy saving some of my Halloween bookish favourite finds this year.

I wanted to stick to a £10 (approx $14) max and I’ve got 42 items so far!
