Hello, my lovelies and welcome to my February 2021 monthly wrap up post.
What have I been up to this month?
February is usually a happy month for me. Celebrations around my Dad’s, Hubby’s and my BBF’s birthdays! It’s usually a month of evenings out and delicious meals. However, with lockdown 3 still in place, we haven’t been able to take the festivities outside of the home. Although we did have a fabulous Chinese takeaway for Hubby’s birthday.
Coronavirus COVID-19 is still sweeping the globe with even more aggressive strains to contend with. *Eek* However, here in the UK, our immunisation programme has successfully been rolled out. Over fifteen million people have received Covid-19 vaccinations, including my parents and in-laws. Hopefully, the current Lockdown3 will be lifted next month, however, our government are still keeping a close eye on hospitalizations, death rates and the contagion level of the virus.
In bloggish news…
I’ve made it a weekly task to work through my old posts, making sure the images have a description and ensuring my reviews are reader and SEO friendly (with the help of the Yoast SEO plugin). All this behind-the-scenes maintenance is necessary but time-consuming.

You may have noticed that I’ve also been looking at the graphics on my blog and across my social media accounts. I’ve been using Canva for a couple of years but recently upgraded to Canva Pro. I love it. The extras are AMAZING! 😉 If you use my link, I’ll get a little referrer fee for this too. 💜
I’ve been working through my existing reviews and adding the Ultimate Book Blogger plugin by Ashley @ NoseGraze to the posts. I love the plugin so much that I asked Ashley if I could be an affiliate! 🎧 2021 Audiobook Challenge 🎧
Last year I joined the 2020 Audiobook Challenge. I enjoyed it so much that I’ve signed up again this year. ! 😂 🤦♀️ 😂
I’ve been listening to more and more audiobooks each year, so decided to take advantage of my growing addiction interest. 😉 I might even make the permanent switch from eBooks to audiobooks. Check out my progress on My Audiobook Challenge 2021 page.

Looks like you had a pretty great February! And I wish my government would do vaccinations as fast as yours does. Because now… not so much. I have asthma and when they started in January it was the plan for my group to start with vaccinations in February. Feb turned to March. And now it is May. *sighs* I wonder if that will also move to he next month or further. Yay, people who also have birthdays in Feb (I am 5th Feb). And chinese takeaway, YUM, now I want to get some. Haha.

I really hope we will be able to make real progress toward being able to be out and about soon.

Glad you had a good-ish Feb with lots of (indoors) celebrations! In a way I am scared for this lockdown to end as I can see it rising again and quickly but I really hope not!!! Have a great March ❤
I know what you mean, Caro. Kids come back to school next week and I’m expecting a jump in cases in a couple of weeks. 🙁
On one hand I can wait for my son to go back, he needs it (and so do I!!) but it does worry me!
I wish our government could be like yours. I swear, it feels like a free for all here and a huge majority of people just don’t care. I’m just glad that my parents have started the vaccine process.
The problem is we’re all on a steep learning curve. Stay as safe as you can, Kristin. x
