Flora Celebrates… Litha, Summer Solstice, Midsummer (Day 7)

Hello My Lovelies,

So this is the penultimate post in my 7 day Litha/Summer Solstice/Midsummer theme. Over last the week, I’ve been sharing some of the songs that I’ve been known to sing at this time of year as well as images, beautiful creations and snippets of wisdom appropriate for this joyful time of year.

Lisa Thiel is another artist who, through her lyrics and music can transform a celebration into something magical. Although we do not have her beautiful voice, once we heard Litha (Summer Solstice Song) from her album Circle Of The Seasons we knew we’d have to include it.

Litha (Summer Solstice Song)
By Lisa Thiel
Album: Circle Of The Seasons (# song: 06)

I am the fire that burns within your soul
I am the Holy light that fills and makes you whole
I am the Flame within, that never dies
I am the sun that will ever arise

(Chorus)

Power of the Sun we honour you this night
We leap across the fire to keep our spirits bright
Power of the Sun, fire in the night
We leave behind, that which blinds, to restore our sight

I am the fire that clears away the old
I am the holy light that guides you to your soul
I am the Flame Of Love for which you yearn
I am the sun that will always return

(Chorus)

I am the fire that burns within your soul
I am the Holy light that fills and makes you whole
I am the Flame within, that never dies
I am the sun that will ever arise

(Chorus)

I am the fire that clears away the old
I am the holy light that guides you to your soul
I am the Flame Of Love for which you yearn
I am the sun that will always return

(Chorus)

I hope you are still enjoying my week of Litha and Midsummer posts. If you’d like to read any of them again, just search the tag #Litha at the bottom of the page or click on the Sabbats category.

Whatever you are up to, I hope you all have a fantastic June!
