Flora’s Mini Book Reviews… Claiming Jade by Teresa Gabelman

Hello Avid Readers. Sometimes, when I read a book I don’t write a full review, I just write a paragraph or two to publish on Amazon and Goodreads; especially if it’s a book with thousands of reviews already. But I want to build up my blog to be THE place to go to for paranormal romance fans, so I should really post those smaller reviews on here too, right?

So with that in mind, today, I want to share my thoughts about this standalone paranormal romance novella…

Claiming Jade by Teresa Gabelman

Jade Wilder finds herself standing in the office of Elite Crime Unit because pixies are after her brother. Yes, you heard right. Pixies! Mean, ruthless, evil pixies. Her house has been ransacked, her brother is now missing, and she needs help.

As Jade’s story unfolds, dark elf and badass, Drake, can’t deny the danger she is in or his instant attraction to the beautiful green-eyed human. He appoints himself her protector and soon realizes that walking away from her once the job is done will be next to impossible.

A Gripping Standalone Paranormal Romance That I Didn’t Want To End.

If you’ve followed my reviews for a while, you’ll know that I’m a BIG fan of Teresa Gabelman’s writing style. I loved this standalone story. The romance was beautiful, the background story was gripping and the characters were great. Both our main characters and the supporting cast.

I always love a story more when the main female character is intelligent, resilient, self-reliant and has plenty of gumption. Jade Wilder ticked all of those boxes and more. I loved her little quirk of clumsiness and chuckled at her sense of humour.

While we’re talking about humour, the banter between Drake and his fellow colleagues was written brilliantly and came at just the right time through the story.

Even though I knew how this would end – Ms Gabelman always likes her romantic couple to have their Happy Ever After ending within the pages of each book she writes – I know that I will be reading this book again and again.

  2. Hi, flora, my favorite books are also paranormal romance (with some history thrown in). I prefer short reviews myself to read. I don’t need a synopsis of the story…I rather read it. I am a new follower of yours. Karen Anna
