Hello Fellow Book Lovers. Today, I’m sharing my thoughts about The Vampire’s Mail Order Bride by Kristen Painter. The first book in her light paranormal romance series, Nocturne Falls.
Sometimes, when I read a book I don’t write a full review. I just write a paragraph or two to publish on Amazon and Goodreads; especially if it’s a book with thousands of reviews already. But I want to build up my blog to be THE place to go to for paranormal romance fans, so I should really post those smaller reviews on here too, right?

Welcome to Nocturne Falls, the town where Halloween is celebrated 365 days a year.
After seeing her maybe-mobster boss murder a guy, Delaney James assumes a new identity and pretends to be a mail order bride. She finds her groom-to-be living in a town that celebrates Halloween every day. Weird. But not as weird as what she doesn’t know. Her groom-to-be is a 400-year-old vampire.
Hugh Ellingham has only agreed to the arranged set up to make his overbearing grandmother happy. In thirty days, whatever bridezilla shows up at his door will be escorted right back out. His past means love is no longer an option. Not if the woman’s going to have a future. Except he never counted on Delaney and falling in love for real.
Too bad both of them are keeping some mighty big secrets...

What did I like about The Vampire’s Mail Order Bride?

An Engaging Start To This Cosy Paranormal Romance
Kristen Painter is a new-to-me author but someone who I will definitely read more of. I loved her writing style. This book’s very easy to read and I enjoyed meeting all the characters that Ms Painter created. The town of Nocturne Falls was inspired. Plus, I loved the plot, its twists and turns and the adventure we were taken on.
I downloaded the Audible version of this book and was impressed with B.J. Harrison’s performance. The pace of his narration was just right and I enjoyed his vocal variances for the dialogue.
There is absolutely no offensive content within these pages – language, violence or sex. Therefore, I can recommend it to lovers of charming, paranormal romance tales that enjoy a sprinkling of humour and a happily ever after ending of any age.
Keep reading to find out more about this series and its author.
