Friday Finds

Friday Finds – Books, Books, Books

Hello my lovelies,

Welcome to my second Friday Finds post of the month!

If you are one of my lovely new followers let me just take a moment to explain. I like to read, my favourite genre is paranormal romance and I’ve been known to read urban fantasy and paranormal cozy mysteries too. But it’s a big wide literary world out there and I decided back in January that you, my dear followers, might be interested in reviews about books from other genres. Ta!Da! My weekly Friday Finds post was born.

Here are some non-paranormal romance book reviews I enjoyed reading this week from the blogs I follow (in no particular order).

Review: Skin and Bone – TA Moore from Paranormal Romance Guild

Yes OK, I know I said no paranormal romance but the Paranormal Romance Guild are a group who actually read other genres too, so shush and let me continue. 😉 Each review has a different feel as the guild has so many reviewers on staff and this review is of a intriguing mystery with a male/male love interest (which is something that I haven’t dipped my toes into yet).

Audiobook Review: Connections in Death by J.D. Robb from EBook Obsessed

Lucy’s site is full of reviews, author interviews and book promotions. Even when she’s not enamoured with a book she’s read, her reviews are always worth the time to read. Oh, and she also kindly gives away her paperback ARCs every Friday!

My Favorite Cowboy (Heart of Texas #3) by Donna Grant from The Secret World of Book Lovers

Carla really does read all types of genres. Her reviews are very informative and she adds lots of links to help her followers to connect to the authors too. I am already a fan of Donna Grant’s paranormal romance series so I was really interested to read Carla’s review of this book.

Secrets of the Black Temple by the Red Spider from Duke De Richleau’s Nocturnal Revelries

As I’ve said before, I always make the time to read the articles from this blog because even if I’d never actually read the books he talks about, I love his irreverent reviewing style.

And my final choice this week is from a blog that I’ve just started following…

Mini Reviews [25] from Do You Dog-ear?

Lindsi really loves to read and it comes across in the way she writes her posts. She reads most genres and even posts reviews about comics. I really enjoyed this collection of mini reviews and finding out what she thought in a nutshell.

So, that’s my picks for this week. I hope you find a moment or two to click at least one of these reviews yourself – who knows you may just find your next favourite author or a new blog to follow!

Many of the bloggers I follow regularly review audio books. It’s never too late to sign up for a free Audible trial  –  UK Here or US Here – and start your adventure. Even if you cancel, any audiobooks you’ve downloaded are yours to keep forever!

Hope you have a good weekend and manage to read (or listen to) a great story.

Happy Reading!

About Me

I'm in my late forties, my interests are varied but since menopause hit a few years ago, I find myself becoming a "grumpy old woman" all too frequently - where has my infinite patience gone!?! Lol!
I bought a Kindle in the summer of 2013 and haven't stopped reading since. If you want to know more about me, check out my blog -
