Hello Avid Readers,
Today is Friday so it’s time for another Friday Finds post. I have found some great reviews around the blogosphere that I want to share with you this week.
I am enjoying being part of the weekly Book Blogger Hop meme too, hosted by Billy @ Ramblings of a Coffee Addict, so I’m doing it again today and my answer to this week’s question is at the bottom of this post.
If you are one of my lovely new followers let me just take a moment to explain what my Friday Finds posts are all about. I like to read, my favourite genre is paranormal romance but I’ve also been known to curl up with the odd urban fantasy or paranormal cozy mysteries too. But it’s a big wide literary world out there and I decided back in January that you, my dear followers, might be interested in the reviews about books from other genres to help you find your next favourite book. Ta!Da! My weekly Friday Finds post was born.
Here are some reviews for non-paranormal romance books that fellow book bloggers have posted (in no particular order).
Elaine’s reviews are always intelligent and easy to read plus her reading tastes are substantially more varied than mine. 😉 I love reading her reviews. Lol!
Her blog is also full of beautifully composed photos like the one she created for this book.
Sarah’s reading material is diverse and her reviews are always intelligent and honest; this week it’s an audiobook that’s under her microscope. Not everything on Sarah’s blog is about books, she also posts about the places she’s travelled to and her experiences while there. As I’ve said before, Sarah Lockwood’s blog is one that I always make time to read.
Kimberly is a self proclaimed audiobook junkie, avid reader and coffee drinker. She doesn’t limit herself to just reading one genre but reads books from young adult to hot and steamy romances with a healthy love of a good horror or Zombie book and although this book has been featured in a Friday Finds post before, I loved reading Kimberly’s thoughts on this audio version.
As with so many of the book blogs I follow, the reviews posted from this fellow book-a-holic are far more varied than mine. Her reviews are always intelligent and well written. Point in case, this review is from a graphic novel/comic written about a heroine with disabilities.
And my final review this week is from a blog I haven’t been following for long…
Raven is an avid book reader, reviewer and book blogger from India. She will read anything that matches her reading appetite at the time, whether from famous authors, non famous authors or début authors. Raven confesses that she’s one of those readers who loves to read after midnight and her favourite genres are; young adult (YA), new adult (NA), dystopia and paranormal.
I know that this book has taken the blogosphere by storm but I love how Raven worded her review; it’s personal to her, giving perfect reasons why she feels the way she does.
So, that’s my picks for this week. I hope you find a moment or two to click at least one of these reviews yourself – who knows you may just find your next favourite author!
Now on to the Book Blogger Hop meme which is hosted by Billy @ Ramblings of a Coffee Addict. A question is posted each week, you answer the question and visit others blogs to see what their answers are. Easy!
So this week’s question is:
What authors do you always read and recommend?
(submitted by Elizabeth @ Silver’s Reviews)
Well if you’ve followed my blog for a while, you’ll know that Dianne Duvall, Teresa Gabelman and Felicity Heaton are my top 3 go-to paranormal romance authors. So, of course, they’re probably the ones I mention the most.
Which authors do you seem to keep going back to and recommend whenever you get the chance?
Thanks for stopping by and taking the time to read this post. I hope you have a good weekend and manage to read (or listen to) a great story.
