Friday Finds – Great Reviews From Fellow Bloggers

Hello my lovelies,

Goodness me – It’s March and my first Friday Finds post of the month!

If you are one of my lovely new followers let me explain. I like to read, especially paranormal romance but it’s a big wide literary world out there and I decided back in January that you, my dear followers, might be interested in book reviews about other genres. Ta!Da! My weekly Friday Finds post was born.

Here are some non-paranormal romance book reviews I enjoyed reading this week from the blogs I follow (in no particular order).

Caliban’s War by James S. A. Corey from The Critiquing Chemist

Sarah’s reading material is diverse and her reviews are always intelligent and honest; this week it’s an audiobook that’s under her microscope. Not everything on Sarah’s blog is about books, she also posts about the places she’s travelled to and her experiences while there. As I’ve said before, Sarah Lockwood’s blog is one that I always make time to read.

Review: With this Pledge (Carnton #1) by Tamera Alexander from

Anne Mendez usually reviews books in the historical fiction genre, including all the sub-genres, e.g. mystery, thriller, romance, etc. and although this is a genre I rarely read myself, I always enjoy her thoughts and I’m almost tempted to dip my toe into the historical pool.

Degsy Hay The Hay Patrollers: EVERY COMMUNITY SHOULD ‘AVE’EM | Brian Montgomery from Literary Titan

Literary Titan are a group of reviewer that seem to find independent published works in every genre! This title not only piqued my interest but it actually warranted a 5 star review – not something that happens very often.

New Release & Review – Boyfriend For Hire by Kendall Ryan from A British Bookworm’s Blog

Jo is a fellow Brit who loves reading but unlike me she reads across the genres and is continually sharing new releases with her followers. She is spreading the reading love and I guarantee that you’ll find something that you’ll want to read! Lol! This book sounds a fun quick read.

And my final choice this week is from a new blogger that I’ve just started following…

Rogue Protocol by Martha Wells from Caffeinated Reviewer

Kimberly is a self proclaimed audiobook junkie, avid reader and coffee drinker. She doesn’t limit herself to just reading one genre but I reads books from young adult to hot and steamy romances with a healthy love of a good horror or Zombie book.

So, that’s my picks for this week. I hope you find a moment or two to click at least one of these reviews yourself – who knows you may just find your next favourite author!

As a couple of the stories being reviewed this week were in audio format, I thought I’d remind you that it’s never too late to sign up for a free Audible trial  –  UK Here or US Here – and start your adventure. Even if you cancel, any audiobooks you’ve downloaded are yours to keep forever!

Hope you have a good weekend and manage to read (or listen to) a great story.

Happy Reading!

About Me

I'm in my late forties, my interests are varied but since menopause hit a few years ago, I find myself becoming a "grumpy old woman" all too frequently - where has my infinite patience gone!?! Lol!
I bought a Kindle in the summer of 2013 and haven't stopped reading since. If you want to know more about me, check out my blog -
