Friday Finds – I Loved These Reviews

Hello fellow book lovers,

Goodness me, it’s time for another Friday Finds post. My fellow blogging buddies have been reading lots of amazing books this week and I can’t wait to share some of my favourite reviews with you.

If you are one of my lovely new followers let me just take a moment to explain. I like to read, my favourite genre is paranormal romance but I’ve also been known to curl up with the odd urban fantasy or paranormal cozy mysteries too. But it’s a big wide literary world out there and I decided back in January that you, my dear followers, might be interested in the reviews about books from other genres to help you find your next favourite book. Ta!Da! My weekly Friday Finds post was born.

Here are some non-paranormal romance books that fellow book bloggers enjoyed reading (in no particular order).

In Her Sights by Katie Ruggle from Caffeinated Reviewer

Kimberly is a self proclaimed audiobook junkie, avid reader and coffee drinker. She doesn’t limit herself to just reading one genre but I reads books from young adult to hot and steamy romances with a healthy love of a good horror or Zombie book.

The Test by Sylvain Neuvel from The Critiquing Chemist

Sarah’s reading material is diverse and her reviews are always intelligent and honest; this week it’s an audiobook that’s under her microscope. Not everything on Sarah’s blog is about books, she also posts about the places she’s travelled to and her experiences while there. As I’ve said before, Sarah Lockwood’s blog is one that I always make time to read.

Perdurabo: The Life of Aleister Crowley – Richard Kaczynski from Duke De Richleau’s Nocturnal Revelries

As I’ve said before, I always make the time to read the articles from this blog because even if I’d never actually read the books he talks about, I love his irreverent reviewing style.

The Boy Who Steals Houses by C.G. Drews from Avalinah’s Books

Evelina is a book blogger and reviewer who’s preferred genres are general fiction, fantasy and scifi, but she also reads non-fiction books on important topics like equality, disability, fair treatment of individuals.

And I my final choice this week is from a book reviewers extraordinaire

Lessons from the Frogs I’ve Kissed by Krystal Kolnik from Literary Titan

If you don’t know, Literary Titan are a group of discerning reviewers that seem to find independent published works in every genre! This title warranted a 5 star review – not something that happens very often.

So, that’s my picks for this week. I hope you find a moment or two to click at least one of these reviews yourself – who knows you may just find your next favourite author!

Before I go, I just wanted to remind you that the current Audible trial is a great way for you to try an audiobook for FREE – you could choose one of the books mentioned above!

As you can tell from my reviews and those from my blogging friends, we’re “reading” more and more books like this and find it a relaxing but more immersive experience. If you sign up today for a month it’s easy to cancel AND any audiobooks you download are yours to keep forever, even if you cancel!

If you live in the UK, check out the free trial here and if you live across the pond in America click here.

Hope you have a good weekend and manage to read (or listen to) a great story.

Happy Reading!

About Me

I'm in my late forties, my interests are varied but since menopause hit a few years ago, I find myself becoming a "grumpy old woman" all too frequently - where has my infinite patience gone!?! Lol!
I bought a Kindle in the summer of 2013 and haven't stopped reading since. If you want to know more about me, check out my blog -
