Hello fellow bookworms, I’ve been in the mood for some lighter reads. So it’s comedies, humour and chick-lit romance for today’s Friday Finds. 💚😂💚
Oh, if you don’t know what these posts are all about, I explain it all in my Friday Finds page. Go check it out – the page opens in a new tab.
So, here are some amazing recommendations and book reviews written by my fellow book bloggers. I hope one of these catches your eye! (In no particular order.)
This great book blog is run by Berit and Vicci, two women from different parts of the world who were brought together by Goodreads and a love of all things books. I love the uncluttered style of their blog and both of them write reviews that are well written but are filled with their individual personalities. Berit reviewed this dark, contemporary novel, saying: “A definite feel good story guaranteed to make you laugh and want to rewatch all your favorite romcoms. This book is instantly being put on my FAVs shelf, I just loved everything about it, it was the perfect mood lifter during these crazy times.“
Carla really does read all types of genres, from romance to thrillers and everything in between. Her reviews are very informative and she adds lots of links to help her followers to connect to the authors too. Her site hosts cover reveals and blog tours as well as her book reviews and recommendations. Carla really enjoyed this romance, rating it 5 out of 5 stars, saying: “I truly enjoyed the book, it’s a sweet neighbors, to friends, to lovers story during an extremely scary and strange time we are all going through. Beautiful fun read!“
Lucy’s site is full of reviews, author interviews and book promotions. Even when she’s not enamoured with a book she’s read, her reviews are always worth the time to read. Oh, and she also kindly gives away her paperback ARCs every Friday! Lucy loved this first-in-series romance story rating it 5 stars, saying: “I loved the quirky sense of humor that was the part of Graham that only the locals knew. We are also treated to many great secondary characters who will be the focus of future novels. I have already marked them off on my Goodreads list so I can keep reading up on life in Moose Springs.“
The Somerset Girls
by Lori Foster reviewed by Caffeinated Reviewer
Kimberly is a self proclaimed audiobook junkie, avid reader and coffee drinker. She doesn’t limit herself to just reading one genre but reads books from young adult to hot and steamy romances with a healthy love of a good horror or Zombie book. Kimberly really loved this light romance book rating it 4.5 coffees cups out of 5, saying: “Looking for the perfect escape read? The Somerset Girls by Lori Foster, transports readers to Sunset, Kentucky and delivers two sweet, heartfelt romances filled with family, snark, and loveable animals.”
My final review this week, is from a couple of lovely bloggers who I’ve been following for ages. However, they haven’t featured in a Friday Finds post for months! *tut*
Christie and Danielle are very passionate about the books they read and want to share that passion with everyone who visits their highly popular blog. They read pretty much anything that interests them and share their reviews as well as taking part in lots of book tours, new release blitz and cover reveals. Christie read this chick-lit romance and rated it 5 uplifting stars and saying: “I loved that this book was different from some of the other romances I have read lately. An uplifting feel-good read perfect for the beginning of summer. I highly recommend reading this sweet, humorous book if you are a dog lover or a fan of sweet romance!!!“
So, that’s my picks for this week. I hope you find a moment or two to click at least one of these reviews yourself. Who knows, you may just find your next favourite romance read! 💚 📚 💚
Now on to the Book Blogger Hop (BBH) meme.
BBH was originally created by Jennifer @ Crazy-For-Books in March 2010 but ended on 31 December 2012. With Jennifer’s permission, Billy @ Ramblings of a Coffee Addict relaunched the hop on 15 February 2013.
Each week the hop starts on a Friday and ends the following Thursday. There’s a weekly prompt featuring a book related question. The hop’s purpose is to give bloggers a chance to follow other blogs and learn about new books. But also to befriend other bloggers and receive new followers to your own blog. Easy!
So this week’s question is:
How do you keep track of books you will be reviewing or reading?
(submitted by Elizabeth @ Silver’s Reviews)
This is a great question, Elizabeth!
I use Google Calendar and the Blogger Spreadsheet that Kal @ Voracious Reader created to help me keep organised. The spreadsheets track and visualise anything and everything a book blogger could need!
So, what about you? Do you use any tracking methods or are you a wing-it kind of blogger.
Thank you for stopping by and taking the time to read this post.
I hope you have a great weekend and continue to be smart. Stay safe & healthy and I hope manage to read (or listen to) a great book.
