Hello Avid Readers,
Today is Friday so it’s time for another Friday Finds post. I have found some great reviews around the blogosphere that I want to share with you this week.
I am enjoying being part of the weekly Book Blogger Hop meme too, hosted by Billy @ Ramblings of a Coffee Addict, so I’m doing it again today and my answer to this week’s question is at the bottom of this post.
If you are one of my lovely new followers let me just take a moment to explain what my Friday Finds posts are all about. I like to read, my favourite genre is paranormal romance but I’ve also been known to curl up with the odd urban fantasy or paranormal cozy mysteries too. But it’s a big wide literary world out there and I decided back in January that you, my dear followers, might be interested in the reviews about books from other genres to help you find your next favourite book. Ta!Da! My weekly Friday Finds post was born.
So, on to this week’s reviews that my fellow book bloggers have enjoyed reading (in no particular order).
Christie and Danielle are very passionate about the books they read and want to share that passion with everyone who visits their highly popular blog. They read pretty much anything that interests them and share their reviews as well as taking part in lots of book tours, new release blitz and cover reveals. Christie loved this audio book and rated it 5 delicious stars.
Emily is a great book blogger, her site is dedicated to reviewing books and hosting book tours. Every genre seems to be covered including; Young Adult, Paranormal, Erotica, Thriller, Fantasy, Contemporary, Suspense, Historical. This romance story certainly ticked all the boxes for her and she “loved the story, can’t wait for more.”
Jonetta is a wonderful blogger and loves reading and is fairly eclectic in her tastes and open to most genres. She’s open to exploring new authors and appreciates those who not only write well but can deliciously craft a character and a tale. Jonetta loved everything about this story and I mean everything…the characterisations, action, plotting, romance and overall story; she said she “I flew through this one.”
And my final review this week is from a tried and trusted book blog…
Jo is a fellow Brit who loves reading but unlike me she reads across the genres and is continually sharing new releases with her followers. She is spreading the reading love and I guarantee that you’ll find something that you’ll want to read! Lol! This contemporary romance had her hooked from page 1 and she devoured it in a day!
So, that’s my picks for this week. I hope you find a moment or two to click at least one of these reviews yourself – who knows you may just find your next favourite author!
Now on to the Book Blogger Hop meme which is hosted by Billy @ Ramblings of a Coffee Addict. A question is posted each week, you answer the question and visit others blogs to see what their answers are. Easy!
So this week’s question is:
Name one book that gets you in the mood for Halloween.
(submitted by Billy @ Coffee Addicted Writer)
I don’t read a single book each and every Halloween (I watch particular films though, Coraline, Paranorman, The Nightmare Before Christmas, Hocus Pocus… you get the thing)but I am participating in a number of Halloween themed reading challenges this month. I’ve just finished a cozy urban fantasy about necromancers (A Grave Death), I’m currently reading a book about a woman who discovers she’s a witch at 40 (American Witch) and later in the month I’ve got another cozy mystery with ghostly goings on (Amanda Cadabra and The Rise of Sunken Madley). I think I’m in the Halloween mood.
What about you? Any old favourites that you dust off and read this time of year?
Thanks for stopping by and taking the time to read this post. I hope you have a good weekend and manage to read (or listen to) a great story.
