Hello my lovelies. I have an embarrassing bookish problem. I seem to be unable to finish a series!
You may remember from my Monthly Wrap Up posts at the beginning of this year, that I took part in a three month reading challenge from a group on Goodreads to encourage me to catch up and get some series read.
I decided to extend this goal for the whole of 2020 and linked up with the 2020 Finishing the Series Reading Challenge hosted by Celebrity Readers to keep me focused! 😉
There are 3 different “Celebrity” levels of achievement for this reading challenge:
- C-LIST SERIES FINISHER ⇒ Complete 1-4 Series.
- B-LIST SERIES FINISHER ⇒ Complete 5-8 Series.
- A-LIST SERIES FINISHER ⇒ Complete 9+ Series.
I’m aiming at the middle level – B-List Series Finisher. I’m making good progress so far, some of the series are HUGE and still growing so I’ve admitted to myself that there’s no way I’m gonna catch up completely this year with so many other demands on my time, so I’ve set my goal to get at least halfway through.
Here’s the list of the six or seven main series that I’m wanting to catch up on this year:
Dark Hunters by Sherrilyn Kenyon Read: 5/17
The Beginner’s Guide To Necromancy by Hailey Edwards Read: 6/6
Lords of the Underworld by Gena Showalter Read: 6/12
The Iron Druid Chronicles by Kevin Hearne Read: 3/9
The Fae Chronicles (Read 4/6), The Elite Guards (Read 0/3) and Monsters (Read 0/3) by Amelia Hutchins Read: 4/12 While each series can be read separately, they are all part of the same fae world and can be read as one.
The Dresden Files by Jim Butcher Read: 3/17
Bonus Series If I Get Time
The Twenty-sided Sorceress by Annie Bellett Read: 4/9
Check out my Finishing The Series page to find out more and to find out which books I’ve already read and which ones are still on my series TBR shelf.
Are you taking part in this reading challenge? I’d love to hear from you, if you are. Have you read any of the series I’m trying to catch up on? Which series would be on YOUR list?
Thank you for taking the time to stop by and read this post. I hope you have a lovely day, stay safe & healthy and find time to read (or listen to) a great story.
Bye for now.
