What did I like about it?

I received this prequel story for signing up to Kharma Kelley’s newsletter and I really loved it. If you enjoyed book 1 in Ms Kelley’s Agents of the Bureau series – Tall, Dark and Deadly like I did – then I definitely recommend signing up to her newsletter to get this story.

Light Amongst the Dark is written with the same expert care as her novel and although too few pages, it still had me engaged and completely invested in the tale.

The only reason that I didn’t rate it 5-stars was because of its length. I feel uncomfortable rating short stories with 5-stars due to the inability for character and plot development.
