Hello Avid Readers. Today I’m sharing my thoughts about Paladin by Montana Ash. The second book in her adult paranormal romance series, Elemental Paladins.
[book-info]
Montana Ash is an attending author at RARE19 in London, which is why I sought out her books. I am so glad I did and I can’t wait to meet her in a couple of weeks. 🙂
FYI:
I only write full detailed reviews for the books I receive from authors, publishers and PR organiser (ARCs). The rest of my book reviews are in a mini format like this.
So, what did I think about Paladin?

Another Amazing Paranormal Romance With A Gripping Plot
Montana Ash is still a new-to-me author but I thank my friend Nikki who brought her to my attention just recently. Once again the story in this book just blew me away! I devoured it; I loved Ms Ash’s writing style, the pace she set for her story and the balance she created in her gripping plot-line. The characters she has created are complex souls that exhibit all the traits that I crave; intelligence, camaraderie, humour and a soul deep love. This story brought out do many emotions; fear, fury, yummy tingles and yes, I did blubber like a baby at times too (I won’t tell you how often or when) but I I also chuckled out loud too at the banter.
This book focuses on the relationship between Darius and Diana. If you’ve read any of my reviews before, you will know that I enjoy a story more when the female main character is intelligent, resilient, resourceful, self-reliant and has plenty of gumption. Oh goodness me, Diana may be Queen of Stubborn but she definitely ticked all my boxes and then some, she also has a great sense of humour, sarkiness and an innate sense of right and wrong that seems to be present in most of Ms Ash’s Elemental Paladins.
Paladin is a bloody good book. Although I’ve rated it 5 stars I was a bit miffed at the ending. It seems that Ms Ash likes to end her books with a MAJOR hook. Although isn’t a perilous life-or-death situation, it feels to me like it’s ending mid scene. I’d already bought and downloaded the first three books as they were all on sale at 99p. Therefore, luckily I won’t have to wait long before starting Chade.
Content Warning:
This book has sexual scenes, violence, colourful vocabulary and expletives throughout the story. Therefore, I’d only recommend it to adults who are not offended by content of this sort.
I’d recommend Paladin to adults who love stories about kickass heroines and damaged alphas. Passionate adult paranormal romance with story-lines about prejudice and fighting for what’s right.
