Flora reviews… The Darkest Fire (Lords of the Underworld #0.5) by Gena Showalter

Last year, I came to the decision that mini reviews are the way forward for this book blogger. 😉 I’ve already just been writing a paragraph or two for my Amazon and Goodreads reviews for the last few years – especially when it’s a book with thousands of reviews already – but as I want to build up my blog to be THE place to go for paranormal romance fans, I thought I should really post those old smaller reviews on here too, right?

I started reading Gena Showalter’s Lords of the Underworld series back in 2017 and today I’d like to share my original review about another book in that series.

So, on with my thoughts about…

The Darkest Fire (Lords of the Underworld #0.5) by Gena Showalter

Don’t miss this sizzling prequel to Gena Showalter’s breathtaking new paranormal series, Lords of the Underworld!

Though they carry an eternal curse, the Lords of the Underworld are irresistibly seductive — and unimaginably powerful….

He is the guardian of hell, more monster than man. She is the goddess of oppression, more angel than woman. Together they will enter the flames to battle a dangerous horde of demon lords — and discover a passion unlike any other….

An Action Packed Short Novella.

I am already a fan of Ms Showalter’s writing style and I am pleased to see she uses the same skill in her short stories as she uses in her novels.

Although this tale is a short one, it still has great lead characters that I really connected with and a plot that gripped me from the first page to the last. It warmed my heart, had me in the edge of my seat, made me cry but also smile.

I have read the first few books in this series but think that this one can be read as a standalone title.

Buy THE DARKEST FIRE (or the rest of the series) in print, ebook and audio formats through the usual sources, including:

Amazon UK ; Amazon US ;  The Book Depository Audible ; Foyles ; Waterstones.
