Top 5 Tuesday

My F to J List of Recommended Authors ~ Top 5 Tuesday

Hello my lovelies,

Last year, I sporadically joined in with Top 5 Tuesday, a weekly meme hosted by Shanah @ Bionic Book Worm. Luckily, Shanah comes up with the topics a month at a time so that we’ve got some thinking space. I’ve actually managed to think about this week’s topic and gone all out. *yeah me!* 🙂

If you’re interested in participating in Top 5 Tuesday, all you have do is write up your post and pingback to one of Shanah’s posts. Make sure you pingback to one of her posts and not just her blog so she can add you to the list of participants.

This month, Shanah is doing something different. TOP 5 TUESDAY – AUTHORS FROM A-Z SERIES! I 💜 love 💜 this idea and can’t wait to get stuck into this week’s recommendations!

Top 5 Tuesday – Authors From A-Z Series!

Without authors, we wouldn’t have books. And this is the perfect time to spotlight some well loved authors!! I’m always on the lookout for new authors so I have a feeling this is going to increase my already suffocating TBR! lol!

Shanah ~ Bionic Book Worm

As I said last week, the lovely Shanah is letting us choose how we make our lists: just authors first names or last names or even a mixture of both. I’ve decided to mix it up and use the prompt for first or last name.

This is our second week, so today I’ll be recommending some authors whose names start with: F, G, H, I, J.

I’ve linked the images to my reviews, where you’ll find all the information about the books, purchase links and lots of other fun stuff too. All my links open in a new tab so that you don’t lose your place here. OK, so without further ado, on to this week’s list of A To Z Of Authors

Author F ~ Angie Fox

~ Angie Fox ~

New York Times and USA Today bestselling author Angie Fox writes sweet, fun, action-packed mysteries. Her characters are clever and fearless, but in real life, Angie is afraid of basements, bees, and going up stairs when it is dark behind her. Let’s face it. Angie wouldn’t last five minutes in one of her books.

Angie is best known for her SOUTHERN SPIRITS™ mysteries and for her ACCIDENTAL DEMON SLAYER series.

Angie is a graduate of the University of Missouri School of Journalism. She lives in St. Louis with her football-addicted husband, two kids, and Moxie the dog.

I love her Southern Ghost Hunter Mystery series and have read ALL OF THEM! 🔍 Her ghostly mysteries may be classed as cozy paranormal but I found most of the stories had at least a few scenes that made me jump or hide behind a cushion – Angie certainly has the skills to frighten this reader! 👻

Series Southern Ghost Hunter Mysteries

Author G ~ Donna Grant

Author Donna Grant

Donna Grant is the New York Times and USA Today bestselling author of over forty-five novels. Her most popular series is the breathtaking Dark King (aka Dragon King) series featuring dragons, immortal Highlanders, and the Fae.

Born and raised in Texas, she also has ties across the border in Louisiana. Growing up with two such vibrant cultures, her Cajun side of the family taught her the “spicy” side of life while her Texas roots gave her two-steppin’ and bareback riding. She is never far from her faithful 80 pound dog, Sisko, or her three cats. She can often be found at the movies or bookstore with her children. Or buying makeup. And shoes.

I’ve been reading Donna’s books for a few years now and I love with way that, although the romance aspect of her stories is the key element, she always sets it against an engaging backdrop and plot that keeps me reading! I still haven’t read all of her back catalogue of books but I will – eventually! 😇

Author H ~ Felicity Heaton

Author Felicity Heaton
Felicity Heaton

Felicity Heaton is a New York Times and USA Today international best-selling author writing passionate paranormal romance books. In her books, she creates detailed worlds, twisting plots, mind-blowing action, intense emotion and heart-stopping romances with leading men that vary from dark deadly vampires to sexy shape-shifters and wicked werewolves, to sinful angels and hot demons! If you’re a fan of paranormal romance authors Lara Adrian, J R Ward, Sherrilyn Kenyon, Gena Showalter and Christine Feehan then you will enjoy her books too.

Oh, come on! How could I compile this list without including 🖤 MY FAVOURITE AUTHOR! 🖤 Felicity has been a go-to author of mine for more years than I care to mention. 😉 The characters she creates are complex souls that exhibit all the traits that I crave; intelligence, camaraderie, humour and a potential for soul saving love. Her stories always elicit so many emotions; fear, fury, yummy tingles and yes, I always seem to blubber like a baby at the emotional stuff but there’s always some humour or banter to make me chuckle out loud too.

series eternal mates

Author I ~ Ilona Andrews

~ Ilona Andrews ~

Ilona Andrews is the pseudonym for a husband-and-wife writing team. Ilona is a native-born Russian and Gordon is a former communications sergeant in the U.S. Army. Contrary to popular belief, Gordon was never an intelligence officer with a license to kill, and Ilona was never the mysterious Russian spy who seduced him. They met in college, in English Composition 101, where Ilona got a better grade. (Gordon is still sore about that.)

Gordon and Ilona currently reside in Oregon with their two children, three dogs and a cat. They have co-authored two series, the bestselling urban fantasy of Kate Daniels and romantic urban fantasy of The Edge.

I know that most people rave about their Kate Daniels series but it was the Innkeeper Chronicles that brought my attention to Ilona Andrews. I love how they create such believable characters and keep me gripped with their intelligent, fast paced plots. They got me reading a story that was more sci-fi than I’d ever read before! 🛸

Author J ~ T.S. Joyce

~ T.S. Joyce ~

T.S. Joyce is devoted to bringing hot shifter romances to readers. Hungry alpha males are her calling card, and the wilder the men, the more she’ll make them pour their hearts out. She werebear swears there’ll be no swooning heroines in her books. It takes tough-as-nails women to handle the shifters of Bear Valley.

She lives in a tiny town, outside of a tiny city, and devotes her life to writing big stories. Foodie, bear whisperer, ninja, thief of tiny bottles of awesome smelling hotel shampoo, nap connoisseur, movie fanatic, and zombie slayer, and most of this bio is true.

Believe it or not, T.S. Joyce is another author I found because of RARE19 in London. Her books are classic paranormal romance with all the aspects that I love, and although the stories are sometime a bit predictable, her writing style still keeps me hooked from beginning to end! 💞

Well, that’s it for me this week but what about you? Have you read anything by these authors? Which authors would be in your list? I’d love to know.

Thanks for stopping by and taking the time to read my post. Now that you’ve read mine, why not hop along to some of the other amazing blogs taking part in this week’s Top 5 Tuesday.

I hope you enjoy the rest of your week and read some fantastic books.

Bye for now. x

I was going to say I don’t think I’ve heard of any of these, but I HAVE, and now I’m impressed. 🙂 I’ve heard of Ilona Andrews. I didn’t realize it was a married writing team, though! That’s really neat. I can’t imagine writing with my husband. xD I think one of us would end up stabbed or something. Do you get bonus points while querying if your manuscript is written in blood? xD
