My February 2022 Monthly Wrap Up – Romance, Birthdays, & Bookish Fun!

Featured Image - Monthly Wrap Up - February 2022

Hello, my lovelies and welcome to my February 2022 monthly wrap up post.

What have I been up to this month?

February has felt like a month full of chaos! 😝 It’s been a busy time. We’ve already taken the class on a residential trip – and survived! 😂 My Dad had his 77th birthday and I spent a lovely morning with Mum and Dad drinking tea and going crosswords together. Hubby had his birthday too this month and instead of getting our traditional birthday Chinese takeaway, we picked up fish and chips from our local chippy.

Coronavirus COVID-19 is still lurking about and keeps mutating! However, the virus is here to stay like coughs, colds and influenza. Here in the UK, over 72.8% of us have now been fully vaccinated which means that although we can still catch COVID, the milder symptoms shouldn’t require hospitalisation. WoopWoop! The UK government are recommending that we all still take precautions, although the National restrictions have been lifted.

In bloggish news…

The ratio of audiobooks to Kindle has been 6:1 this month, the reduction in screen now a permanent thing. The number of ocular migraines (also referred to as retinal migraines) that I’m getting remain low. Woop!Woop! Of course, the downside of less screen time is sporadic blog hopping. So, sorry for that. 💚

All of the reviews on the blog have now been updated with the fantastic UBB plugin and are SEO friendly. Thank you Yoast SEO plugin. 😉 However, there are still some older posts on the blog that need to be checked and updated.

Please continue to let me know if any pages, posts or links throughout Flora’s Musings either don’t open or you have problems with. Thanks.

Last year I joined the 2021 Audiobook Challenge. I enjoyed it so much that I’ve signed up again this year.

Audiobooks have become my main format since reducing my screen time this year. I have set this year’s goal to the 75+ level. Will I make it? Follow my progress on my Audiobook Challenge 2022 page.

About Me

I'm in my late forties, my interests are varied but since menopause hit a few years ago, I find myself becoming a "grumpy old woman" all too frequently - where has my infinite patience gone!?! Lol!
I bought a Kindle in the summer of 2013 and haven't stopped reading since. If you want to know more about me, check out my blog -

  1. In February I was also not well, because my body was not healthy. But the spirit of reading must continue, even though I do not participate in the challenge of reading hehe. I want someday too.

  2. WendyW says:

Happy Birthday to your Dad and your Husband! We don’t have your vaccination rate here in Arizona, but at least our numbers are down now as well.

    1. Flora says:

Thanks Wendy. I’m happy that Arizona is also seeing improvements in the Covid rate too. Keep safe.

  3. Glad to hear you are not getting the headaches like you were. As a sufferer myself, I feel your pain. Literally.
    Happy March!
