My June 2021 Monthly Wrap Up – Celebrations, Amazing Reads and Sunshine

Hello, my lovelies and welcome to my June 2021 monthly wrap up post.

What have I been up to this month?

I’m still under doctor’s orders to reduce screen time and reading in an effort to reduce the number of ocular migraines (also referred to as retinal migraines) that I’m getting. I think it’s helping, but we’re sure that stress also plays a factor too. Doesn’t it always! The plus side is that because I’ve switched to audiobooks, I’m still getting my book fix. Lol!

Coronavirus COVID-19 is still lurking about, however, here in the UK, our immunisation programme is going great guns. Over 35 million people have received their first Covid-19 vaccination with 26 million already fully vaccinated, including my hubby, parents and in-laws. WoopWoop! I had my first jab at the beginning of May and hopefully get my second at the end of next month. The UK government have postponed removing the National restrictions until 19th July meaning that The Rule of 6 is still in place and I’m still wearing my mask inside and out.

In bloggish news…

My work on old posts and the blog, in general, has slowed these past couple of months due to all the migraines. However, I’ve only got about five old reviews that I need to update and all new posts and reviews are SEO friendly with the help of the Yoast SEO plugin.

Please continue to let me know if any pages, posts or links throughout Flora’s Musings either don’t open or you have problems with. Thanks.

What have I been posting?

Now on with the rest of my June 2021 monthly wrap up post. Luckily, I had some content scheduled. Feel free to click on anything that you missed this month.

If you’ve been following me for a while, you’ll know that I take part in the Goodreads Annual Reading Challenge but that’s not the only one I take part in. I thought that I’d use these regular wrap up posts to update you on my progress in all the challenges that I’m taking part in …

2021 Audiobook Challenge

Last year I joined the 2020 Audiobook Challenge. I enjoyed it so much that I’ve signed up again this year.

I’ve been listening to more and more audiobooks each year, so decided to take advantage of my growing addiction interest. 😉 I might even make the permanent switch from eBooks to audiobooks. Check out my progress on My Audiobook Challenge 2021 page.

I’ve been linking up to The Sunday Post which is a weekly meme hosted by the lovely Kimberly @ Caffeinated Reviewer.

About Me

I'm in my late forties, my interests are varied but since menopause hit a few years ago, I find myself becoming a "grumpy old woman" all too frequently - where has my infinite patience gone!?! Lol!
I bought a Kindle in the summer of 2013 and haven't stopped reading since. If you want to know more about me, check out my blog - www.florasmusings.com
