Hello, my lovelies and welcome to my September 2021 monthly wrap up post.
What have I been up to this month?
September is BACK TO SCHOOL month. 😝 It’s been a busy time. We’ve already taken the class on a residential trip – and survived! 😂 My mum had her 76th birthday and we all went out for a lovely meal together. Hubby and I celebrated our 22nd wedding anniversary. We didn’t go out but did have a delicious Chinese takeaway.
The ratio of audiobooks to Kindle has been 7:1 this month and I think the reduction in screen time will be a permanent thing too. The number of ocular migraines (also referred to as retinal migraines) that I’ve had this month can be counted on one hand! Woop!Woop! The only downside is the sporadic blog hopping. Sorry.
Coronavirus COVID-19 is still lurking about and keeps mutating! However, here in the UK, our immunisation programme is still going great guns. Over 61% of us have now been fully vaccinated (me included!) WoopWoop! The UK government are recommending that we all still take precautions, although the National restrictions have been lifted.
In bloggish news…
I updating of old posts is an ongoing process. However, it hasn’t been a priority these past few months due to my migraines. All of the reviews on the blog are SEO friendly. Thank you Yoast SEO plugin. 😉 However, there are still some older ones that I need to add to the UBB plugin.
Please continue to let me know if any pages, posts or links throughout Flora’s Musings either don’t open or you have problems with. Thanks.

~ My Current Reading Challenges ~

If you’ve been following me for a while, you’ll know that I take part in the Goodreads Annual Reading Challenge but that’s not the only one I take part in. I thought that I’d use these regular wrap up posts to update you on my progress in all the challenges that I’m taking part in …
2021 Audiobook Challenge
Last year I joined the 2020 Audiobook Challenge. I enjoyed it so much that I’ve signed up again this year.

Audiobooks have become my main format since reducing my screen time this year. I’ve already achieved my original goal of 50+ audio listens, so I’m now trying to reach the 75+ level. Wish me luck and check out my progress on my Audiobook Challenge 2021 page.
I’m linking up to The Sunday Post – a weekly meme hosted by the lovely Kimberly @ Caffeinated Reviewer.

Bye for now,

Happy anniversary! I’m all for some good takeout and an evening at home! Definitely more relaxing. Happy birthday to your mom. I hope you are having a wonderful week!
Thanks Katherine
Yay for audiobooks! I am about half and half but it has definitely increased the number of books I can read.

Don’t know what I’d do without them Anne
Happy Anniversary! I’m so sorry about the migraines. I hope you feel better.
Have a great week!
Thanks Yvonne
I am glad the school year has started off well. Schools here start in August, which I don’t think I will ever get used to. Maybe by the time my daughter’s ready to graduate. LOL Happy late birthday to your mom and late anniversary to you and your husband! Yay for the decrease in migraines! I hope they stay away and hopefully will be no more soon. I hope you have a great week and month of October!

I’m so pleased the audiobooks are helping with the migraines. I hope you see continued success on reducing them. It’s sad that you can’t blog hop as much as you would like but your health is most important! We don’t do residential trips at the AP I work in, but we are trying to do as many trips and enrichment activities as we can with the students.
Thanks Louise
Congrats!!! I always love Chinese takeout… 🙂
Glad the migraines are better.
Hope you have a great week!

I love your falling pumpkins :-)) You seem to have had a great month!
Thanks Sophie.
Yay for being fully vaccinated. I got both my doses early in the year so I’m weighing the pros and cons of a booster. Not sure what to do there. Nice to hear your migraines have been less frequent. They’re tough to bear. I’ve been reading through audiobooks a lot too! I’m at 74 out of 123 books read now (just checked).
I want to try Kristen Painter someday. Happy reading, Flora! 🙂

Yay for being fully vaccinated! I’ll be getting my second dose in November and I’m hyped! Audiobooks are lifesavers! I can relate to your eye issues though in my case it’s mysterious allergies that come and go. Here’s to an awesome October!
