Hello Avid Readers. Today I want to share my thoughts about Fantasy Lover by Sherrilyn Kenyon. The first book that kicks off the Hunter Legends paranormal romance series.
The Hunter Legends Series (previously named the Entire Dark Hunterverse) has several series that tie-in and overlap the whole series. Those are:
- Dark-Hunters series
- Dream-Hunters series
- Were-Hunters series
- Hellchasers series
- Lords of Avalon series
- Dragons Rising Trilogy series
This series encompasses the entire Hunter Series. For the correct reading order, please visit the author’s site.
I picked up this book because the author, Sherrilyn Kenyon, will be attending RARE19 in London next month.
I’m trying to decided whether to continue writing full reviews or switch to a shorter version. This is a mini review. 😉 However, I’ll always write full detailed reviews for the books I receive from authors, publishers and PR organiser (ARCs).
So with that in mind, onto my thoughts about…

Being trapped in a bedroom with a woman is a grand thing. Being trapped in hundreds of bedrooms over two thousand years isn't. And being cursed into a book as a love-slave for eternity can ruin even a Spartan warrior's day.
As a love slave, I know everything about women. How to touch them, how to savor them, and most of all, how to pleasure them. But when I was summoned to fulfill Grace Alexander's sexual fantasies, I found the first woman in history who saw me as a man with a tormented past. She alone bothered to take me out of the bedroom and into the world. She taught me to love again.
But I was not born to know love. I was cursed to walk eternity alone. As a general, I had long ago accepted my sentence. Yet now I have found Grace - the one thing my wounded heart cannot survive without. Sure, love can heal all wounds, but can it break a two-thousand-year-old curse?

Why haven’t I ever read this before?! I loved Ms Kenyon’s writing style; the prose she used, the pace of her plot, the twists and turns and how she concluded all the various aspects of this tale.
When reading this genre, I need my female main character to be intelligent, resilient, resourceful, self-reliant and have plenty of gumption; Grace ticked every box and more. She was a beautiful soul with a wonderful wit. Julian was a male that ticked all my boxes too; he had depth and deserved the love that Grace had for him.
Due to the sexual content, I would recommend this book to adults who are not offended by scenes of this type who enjoy romance stories about the complexities of family relationships, insurmountable odds and soul saving love.
I can’t wait to read more from Ms Kenyon.
Thanks for stopping by and taking the time to read my mini-review. I hope I’ve sparked your interest in Fantasy Lover and that you add it to your wish list.
Bye for now,
