Hello Avid Readers. Today I’m sharing my thoughts about Fused in Fire by K.F. Breene. The final book in her Fire and Ice Trilogy and book 3 in the whole Demon Days, Vampire Nights World.
As from earlier this year, I decided that when I read a book that I’ve bought for myself, I will not write one of my full review but instead will just write a paragraph or two to publish on Amazon, Goodreads and here on my blog.
I will continue to write full reviews for the books I receive from authors, publishers and PR organisers.
I want to build up my blog to be THE place to go to for adult paranormal romance and urban fantasy fans, so with that in mind, today, I want to share my thoughts about…
Fused in Fire (Fire and Ice Trilogy #3) by K.F. Breene
The gripping next installment in the bestselling Demon Days, Vampire Nights World books!

I’d thought the threat from Seattle was finished. That we showed up in time and took care of business.
I hate being wrong. It really ruins my day.
When Roger, the alpha of the North American pack, shows up at my door with the news that a demon has made it to the Underworld with knowledge of me, some hard decisions have to be made.
Do I stay above ground, with all my magical friends, and wait for the battle to come to me? Or do I seek the demon out, and pluck the threat out by the root?
I don’t want my friends to die on my behalf. I could never live with myself. But if I venture into the Underworld, it’ll be the most perilous journey of my life.
This time, it isn’t just my life hanging in the balance, it is my eternity.

A Heady Adrenaline Rush To End This Addictive Trilogy.
I’m already a fan of Ms Breene’s writing style: I love the complexities of her characters, the pace of her plots and the way she balances the different scenes – fighting, horror and brutal violence – with the humorous sarcasm, promise of love and uplifting hope in her stories.
I really enjoyed all the tension and action in Fused in Fire and liked the change of setting; I was breathless for whole chapters, wondering what would happen next! The mystery and political intrigued was still present in the background and I enjoyed how it all kept me guessing (I am hoping that Breene treats us to a future story about Reagan and her Dad at some point). I loved how the relationships between the various characters evolved through this book: I like it when unexpected things happen and an author can surprise me.
I downloaded the narration by Nicole Poole and loved her performance; the way she read the narrative, the tonal variations she used during the different scenes and the voices she gave the characters. Once again, she transported me into the story.
I am happy to hear that, although this story arc with Reagan is completed, there are more tales to read set in this world – Demon Days, Vampire Nights World. I will be checking out the Magical Mayhem trilogy (starting with Natural Witch) then the Warrior Fae books (starting with Trapped) and hope to encounter some familiar faces along the way. 😉
