She must learn to fly, but can she withstand the allure of the handsome new teacher?
The decision has been made. Jessie has taken the magic, and all the weird that goes with it. Including wings.
There's only one problem - she can't figure out how to access them.
Through a series of terrible decisions, Jessie realizes she must ask for help. Gargoyle help.
But she could've never predicted who answers her call - he's an excellent flier, incredibly patient, and a good trainer. He's also incredibly handsome. And interested.
Maybe flying isn't the only thing she needs help with. Maybe she needs help getting back on that saddle, too, emerging into the dating pool.
Except, the new gargoyle is also an alpha, just like Austin, and the town isn't big enough for two.
Turns out, flying is the least of her problems.

Magical Midlife Dating is another book in the new reading genre that I wrote about back in April 2020 – Paranormal Women’s Fiction or PWF for short.
13 paranormal romance, urban fantasy and paranormal cosy mystery authors have teamed up to write books where the female protagonists are +40s. As a menopausal woman within spitting distance of the big 5-0, I’m overjoyed at this new genre. I can’t wait to buy them all!
Ok enough rambling, on with my thoughts…
What did I think about it?
I Didn’t Want To Stop Listening!
I’m already a fan of K. F. Breene’s books and her writing style. Her stories tick every box for me; intelligent writing style that’s easy to read, main characters with depth of personality that I can root for and believe in, depth of character in the supporting cast, believable background story and setting and a balanced mix of relationship, tension, action, humour and mystery.
Hollie Jackson is a wonderful narrator. Her performance while reading this book brought the story to life. I liked the pace at which she read and the emotions she conveyed. There are some very unique characters in this book (series), and the voices she created for them all were impressive. Their personality shone through. Hollie transported me into each and every scene.
As a menopausal woman within spitting distance of the big 5-0, I love that this series has an older protagonist and supporting characters.
Jes is a woman who’s comfortable in her own skin and has the confidence of life experience behind her. However, as everyone knows, life is about change and it is how we deal with it that grows us as a person. I love how Jes is growing, how she dealt with the situations in this book, and how she’s learning.
Magical Midlife Dating builds on the first book.
The threads running through the series and the ones that began and ended in this book were enthralling. I loved listening to Jess stumble through her online dating experience. I rallied, laughed, cried and swooned with her.
Content Warning:
There are scenes of explicit sexual content and graphic violence in this book. Therefore, I’d only recommend it to adults who aren’t offended by scenes of this sort.
I’d recommend Magical Midlife Dating to adults who enjoy a sort of second coming-of-age for older, independent, and capable heroines. Those looking for strong alpha heroes and a slow-burn romance. Readers who enjoy a paranormal adventure story with a generous helping of banter, humour and realistic issues for the over 40s. It’s certainly left me wanting to read the next book – Magical Midlife Invasion – and check out the other books available in the Paranormal Women’s Fiction (PWF) genre.
Keep reading to find out more about this series and its author.
