Hello Avid Readers. Today I’m sharing my thoughts about One Fell Sweep by Ilona Andrews. Book 3 in the bestselling urban fantasy/sci-fi series, Innkeeper Chronicles.

Last year, I decided that mini-reviews were the way forward for this particular book blogger. 😉 This means that I only write full detailed reviews for the books I receive from authors, publishers and PR organisers (ARCs). When I read a book that I’ve bought for myself, I share my thoughts within a paragraph or two that I publish on Amazon UK, Goodreads and here on my blog.
I first read One Fell Sweep back in May 2019 but didn’t post my review here, that’s changing today …

Another Gripping Action Packed Adventure
I have already read the first two books in this urban fantasy/sci-fi/paranormal romance series and really enjoyed them; this book lived up to my expectations.
I downloaded the narration of this book to listen along as I read my Kindle, which has become my favourite way of immersing myself into a story. Renee Raudman is a great performer; I loved the pace at which she read this book, the variances she used during different fight, emotional tense scenes and the tonal adjustments she made to give each character their own voice.
Although I love urban fantasy, science fiction is not a genre I usually choose but this series has me hooked. I love the writing style, the intelligence, the complexity of personality of the characters and the plot has me desperately reading, turning the pages to find out what will happen next.
There is a hook at the end of this book about the series running mystery of where Dina’s parents are, but it’s not life or death. Woop!
Keep reading to find out more about Ilona Andrews and this series.
The Innkeeper Chronicles
Dina DeMille doesn’t run your typical Bed and Breakfast. Her inn is a living entity that defies laws of physics, her fluffy dog is secretly a monster, and the only paying guest is a former Galactic tyrant with a price on her head. This series is a blend of genres: urban fantasy and science fiction.

I’ve thoroughly enjoyed the first three Innkeeper books. I have a taste for SF romance and enjoyed the authors take on paranormal creatures and the melding of magic and tech.
