In the realm of the Dark-Hunters there is a code of honour that even immortal bad boys must follow. No human can be harmed. Yet every few centuries or so, there is always one who thinks himself above the Code...
Alexion is the defender of the code that governs the immortals. He is judge, jury and executioner: if they step over the line it's his wrath they will face. For centuries Alexion has survived alone. Isolated and haunted by his human past, he has learned to distance himself from his emotions and his role ensures that even his fellow Dark-Hunters give him a wide berth.
However, this time the rogue Dark-Hunter is an old friend. Alexion cannot destroy him without at least allowing him one last chance at redemption. But to do this he needs the help of a female Dark-Hunter who goes by the name Danger. And the last time Alexion ran into her, she tried to kill him...

The Hunter Legends Series (previously named the Entire Dark Hunterverse) has several series that tie-in and overlap the whole series. Those are:
- Dark-Hunters series
- Dream-Hunters series
- Were-Hunters series
- Hellchasers series
- Lords of Avalon series
- Dragons Rising Trilogy series
This series encompasses the entire Hunter Series. For the correct reading order, please visit the author’s site.
Sherrilyn Kenyon was originally one of the attending authors of RARE19 in London and so I bought half a dozen of the paperbacks in her Dark Hunters series. Unfortunately, due to some terrible things happening in her private life, Sherrilyn had to cancel her visit.
However I’m enjoying this series too much to stop reading them! I hope to meet her one day, should she every come to another signing event in England.
I decided last year that mini reviews were the way forward for me. Therefore I only write full detailed reviews for the books I receive from authors, publishers and PR organiser (ARCs).
What did I think about Sins of the Night?
Sins of the Night kept me hooked.
I’m loving this series. Yes, I know I’m late to the party but I’m here now. 😉
I love Sherrilyn’s writing style. The prose she uses, the pace of her plots and the sneaky twists and turns she takes us on. I love how she concludes all the various aspects of her tales while still leaving some tantalising threads that tease and tempt you to keep reading the series.
When reading paranormal romance, I need my female protagonist to have certain traits. I want her to be intelligent, resilient, resourceful, self-reliant and have plenty of gumption. Danger is a Dark-Hunter so she can obviously look after herself. However, she was more than just a kickass heroine. She was loyal, empathetic, loving and had a great sense of humour. Alexion was a male that ticked all my boxes too. He was ruthless, deadly and stoic in his duty. However, as we learned more about him, the layers peeled away and it soon became apparent what an amazing guy he really was.
Content Warning:
There are scenes of explicit sexual content and graphic violence in this book. Therefore, I’d only recommend it to adults who aren’t offended by scenes of this sort.
I’d recommend Sins of the Night to adults who are not offended by scenes of an explicit sexual nature and graphic violence. Lovers of romance stories about the complexities of relationships, about trust, loyalty and betrayal and of course, overcoming insurmountable odds and the power of soul-saving love.
I’ve already bought the next three Hunter Legends paperbacks and can’t wait to see how the series story arc progresses and who gets beaten by the love stick next. Lol!
Thanks for stopping by and taking the time to read my mini-review.

Have you read Sins of the Night? If not, I hope I’ve sparked your interest and that you add it to your ever-growing TBR piles. Or any of the Dark-Hunter books! 😉
Bye for now,

I’m glad to read you’ve enjoyed this read. It has been a while since I last read a book by this author. I did always enjoy them though.
Thanks Maureen. I’ve already got the next book – Unleash the Night – waiting to be read.
