Romance Authors and Readers Event – RARE19 London

Hello Fellow Book-a-holics,

I am very exciting to be attending my very first book signing event later this year. I’ve got my ticket for RARE19 London!

As you know my preferred reading genre is paranormal romance, urban fantasy and cozy paranormal mysteries, so I have scoured through the list of attending authors to try to work out who I want to see, chat to and get autographs from. So far, I’ve whittled the 200 down by removing authors who write books outside of my preferred reading genres (that includes PNR and UF authors who’s books are all Young Adult or Reverse Harem) which leaves me with this still long but less daunting list of 23 authors:

(I’ve highlighted those authors that I have already read in bold and added the books that are still in my TBR pile in italics for the others.)

Alanea Alder –
Amanda Bouchet –
Amelia Hutchins – Fighting Destiny (The Fae Chronicles #1), Playing with Monsters (Playing with Monsters #1)
April White – Marking Time (Immortal Descendents #1)
C.M. Stunich – Finding Never (Never Say Never #1)
Eve Langlais – you can find my various reviews here
Graceley Knox – Mark of Truth (Wicked Kingdoms #1), Kiss of Frost (The Dragon Stone Saga #1)
Ilona Andrews – you can find my various reviews here
Jenika Snow – The BEARly Controlled Grizzly (Bear Clan #1)
Jill Sanders –
Karen Lynch – Relentless (Relentless #1)
Kelley Armstrong –
Kristie Cook – A Demon’s Promise (Soul Savers #1), Havenwood Falls Collection
L.H. Cosway – Teagan’s Blood (The Ultimate Power #1)
M.J. Haag  (a.k.a. Melissa Haag) – Depravity (A Beastly Tale #1)
Mina Carter – you can find my various reviews here
Randi Cooley Wilson – Havenwood Falls Collection
Samantha Young – you can find my review here
Sherrilyn Kenyon –
Stacey Marie Brown – Havenwood Falls Collection
Stephanie Hudson – Afterlife (Afterlife Saga #1)
T. S. Joyce – Most of her book are available for free through Kindle Unlimited
Thea Harrison – True Colors (Elder Races #3.5)

My challenge will be to read as many of these authors’ books as I can before 21st September which will hopefully help me to decide how to prioritise all those signing lines for meet&greets – I’m only there from 12noon ’til 5.30pm. 😉

Have you ever been to one of these events, or one like it? Have you got any recommendations for books I should read from a RARE attending author that’s not on my list?

I'm in my late forties, my interests are varied but since menopause hit a few years ago, I find myself becoming a "grumpy old woman" all too frequently - where has my infinite patience gone!?! Lol!
I bought a Kindle in the summer of 2013 and haven't stopped reading since. If you want to know more about me, check out my blog - www.florasmusings.com
