Hello, my lovelies. Are you feeling festive yet? Welcome to my 12 Days of Blogmas 2020 post. Today, I’m taking part in The Festive Christmas Book Tag.

But first, before we get to the tag…

🎄 What is 12 DAYS OF BLOGMAS? 🎄

The 12 Days of Blogmas is an excellent choice for anyone new to the whole blogging world of Blogmas. This is my first year taking part and I wasn’t entirely sure if I’d be able to dedicate enough time to it.

For this aspect of Blogmas, blogging start on 1st December and we post daily for the first 12 days, or post every other day (which is what I decided to do).

Alternatively, some bloggers follow the 12 Days of Christmas from 25th December to 6th January in line with the Christian Church. This allows them to either rest before taking part, or follow their usual blogging schedule in the lead up to the 12 Days of Blogmas.

I really like reading tag posts. (Did you catch my Naughty or Nice tag?) Sadly my reading niche means that I don’t participate in as many much as I’d like to. I saw this one over on Jenniely’s blog a couple of years ago. Better late than never, right?! (The original tag was made by the booktuber GirlReading.)

Now, on to today’s Blogmas post – The Festive Christmas Book Tag

I’m not going to tag anyone, but if you want to do it too, I’d love to read your answers.

1. A fictional family you would like to spend Christmas dinner with?

If I were looking for a magical Christmas, it would have to be dinner with The Weasley’s.

The Weasley's Christmas dinner

It’d be a wonderful, family Christmas with magic, laughter and love.

However, if I was looking for a more grown-up meal, being invited to David’s house from Dianne Duvall’s Immortal Guardians would be my ultimate fantasy – the whole extended family are AMAZING!

2. A bookish item you would like to receive as a gift?

There are lots of talented people out there making scented candles – I’m slowly working my way through Etsy! Lol!

3. A fictional character you think would make a perfect Christmas elf?

Well as an avid reader of fantasy, I’ve could name hundreds of eligible elves. 😉 Whether they’d be vanilla enough to be a traditional Christmas elf is another thing.

4. Match a book to it’s perfect Christmas song.

My favourite Christmas paranormal romance is Felicity Heaton’s Vampire For Christmas. Oh how I love bad boy, Rafe

5. Bah Humbug. A book or fictional character you’ve been disappointed in and should be put on the naughty list?

There have been 3 books this year that I was looking forward to reading but didn’t live up to my expectations

6. A book or a fictional character you think deserves more love and appreciation and deserve to be put on the nice list?

If you’ve been following me for a while, you’ll know that I love the antihero types. Felicity Heaton writes great lethal but damaged protagonists – yum, yum. 😉

7. Red, Gold and Green. A book cover that has a wonderfully Christmasy feel to it.

Did you read my Christmas Book Cover post? I shared all of the festive covers that I’ve got on my shelves. So for this tag, I’ve chosen a book that I don’t own.

Ok, so most of you are probably thinking one of these covers is more Christmassy than the other…

8. A book or series you love so much, you want everyone to find under their Christmas tree this year so they can read it and love it too?

The Amanda Cadabra Cozy Paranormal Mysteries Series

This is a quintessentially English cosy paranormal mystery series.

Our heroine, Amanda, is a village witch in the fictional village of Sunken Madley. In each book, Amanda has various things to deal with, from solving age-old mysteries, to helping catch a killer and unlocking the secrets to her family’s mysterious deaths. All the while keeping her magic a secret from her friends and Villagers.

About Me

I'm in my late forties, my interests are varied but since menopause hit a few years ago, I find myself becoming a "grumpy old woman" all too frequently - where has my infinite patience gone!?! Lol!
I bought a Kindle in the summer of 2013 and haven't stopped reading since. If you want to know more about me, check out my blog - www.florasmusings.com

  1. I would love to spend a holiday with the Weasleys. I love that family and they just seem like they would be so much fun and have lots of great traditions I’d love to take part in.

    1. I know, they embody what Christmas SHOULD be about. I’m sure the twins would keep me chuckling too!
