Top 5 Tuesday – I Don’t Talk About These Books Enough

Good morning my lovelies,

I had a great time last month joining with Top 5 Tuesday, a weekly meme hosted by Shanah @ Bionic Book Worm and so I’m taking part again this month. Shanah comes up with the topics a month at a time so that we’ve got some thinking space. *phew* 😉

If you’re interested in participating in Top 5 Tuesday, all you have do is write up your post and pingback to one of Shanah’s posts. Make sure you pingback to her post and not just her blog so she can add you to the list of participants.

So on to this week, Shanah has come up with the prompt – top 5 books that we don’t talk enough about.

I’ve got to be honest, I wasn’t quite sure where to go with this week’s prompt. It’s tricky, isn’t it trying to find new content each week to keep your blog interesting. I have been putting on my thinking cap and trawling through my bookshelves to find some books to share with you that have earned a place on my Goodreads 5 Star Review shelf but that I haven’t mentioned before.

I started this blog back in June 2015, my very first review came a few weeks later but I had been a member of the Goodreads community for a whole year before that, so I have decided to share some of books that I LOVED before I started writing reviews because, well, I’m now an official book blogger, so every book I read now I shout about all over my various social media platforms. 😉

I linked the images to the various authors’ websites  which will open in a new tab so that you don’t lose your place here. OK, so without further ado…

The Elemental Series by Elizabeth Hunter

The Elemental Mysteries is the first part of this wonderful paranormal romance universe, where history and the paranormal collide and where no secret stays hidden forever. We join five hundred year old rare book dealer, Giovanni Vecchio, and librarian, Beatrice De Novo, as they travel the world in search of the mystery that brought them together, the same mystery that could tear everything they love apart.

Ms Hunter’s Elemental universe expands with the spin off series – Elemental World – and then built upon further still with the Elemental Legacy series with more novels in the pipeline as well as a few well placed novellas scattered throughout the three series.

The Innkeeper Chronicles by Ilona Andrews

Dina DeMille doesn’t run your typical Bed and Breakfast. Her inn is a living entity that defies laws of physics, her fluffy dog is secretly a monster and the only paying guest is a former Galactic tyrant with a price on her head. This series is an amazing mix of urban fantasy and sci-fi and opened my eyes to the fact that I might actually enjoy certain science fiction reads!

The Order of The Blade Series by Stephanie Rowe

This dark paranormal romance series introduces us to the riveting, dangerous, and sensual world of the Calydon warrior, where lust rules, honour thrives and death looms over all. No warrior is safe from his own darkness, or from the woman destined to love and destroy him. This was such a highly emotive read and I devoured them all. 😉

The Darkness Series by K.F. Breene

This roller coaster urban fantasy adventure has our heroine,  Sasha confronting a new world full of magic, mayhem and love. We follow her journey from an orphan who lost everything, to one of the most powerful mages in the nation. By Stefan’s side, an alpha male who rules his clan with an iron fist, she battles for her place as a Black mage and leader’s mate. Although there are some seriously close to the edge themes in this series, the ride will leave you breathless and begging for more, I know that it did for me!

The whole series can be read for free using your Kindle Unlimited subscription so there’s nothing stopping you.

Vampires Realm Series by Felicity Heaton

Oh, come on, I couldn’t have a list without one of my top three favourite authors on it. 😉

Behind the veil of night on the streets of Europe, roam creatures who have the dark gift of immortality, demons who can turn your blood cold and witches so powerful they hold the fate of the planet in their hands. No mortal stands a chance against the preternatural creatures whose world they share – the seven pure vampire bloodlines of Europe. What happens in their lives shakes our own, sending tremors down to the underworld and making heaven itself tremble.

The tales of the seven are told in epic stories of forbidden love and violent war, of deadly experiments and saving the world, and of sacrifice and bravery that knows no bounds.

Prepare yourself for dark paranormal romances that will have you on the edge of your seat… for fiction you can sink your teeth into… for strong, sexy heroes and stronger, sexier heroines… prepare yourself for Vampires Realm.

All of these series that I’ve mentioned were firm favourites and although I haven’t read any of the books recently, they still leave that warm residue feeling when I think about them.

So that’s it for this week’s favourites, thanks for stopping by and taking the time to read my post. Now that you’ve read mine, why not hop along to some of the other amazing blogs taking part in this week’s Top 5 Tuesday.

Don’t forget to leave a link to your Top 5 Tuesday post so I can visit your blog if you’re joining in the fun this week.

Enjoy the rest of your week.

Bye for now. x

About Me

I'm in my late forties, my interests are varied but since menopause hit a few years ago, I find myself becoming a "grumpy old woman" all too frequently - where has my infinite patience gone!?! Lol!
I bought a Kindle in the summer of 2013 and haven't stopped reading since. If you want to know more about me, check out my blog -
