Three months ago, I landed a job as a bartender. But not at a bar--at a guild. Yeah, the magic kind.
I'm not a badass mage like my three smokin' hot best friends. I'm not a sorcerer or an alchemist, or even a wussy witch. I'm just a human, slinging drinks like a pro and keeping my non-magical nose out of mythic business. Seriously, I know my limits.
So why am I currently standing in a black-magic ritual circle across from a fae lord?
Somewhere behind me, my three mage friends are battling for their lives. Somewhere near my feet is the rogue witch I just knocked out with a stolen spell. And I have about five seconds to convince this very angry sea god not to shmoosh me like a bug.
I'm pretty sure this wasn't in the job description.
I received this ARC for free in exchange for an honest review. This doesn't affect my opinion of the book or influence the content of my review.Formats Available: Audiobook, eBook, Paperback

What did I think about it?
An Action-Packed Adventure Story That Gripped Me From Start To Finish.
Annette Marie is still a relatively new-to-me author. However, this is the third audiobook of hers I’ve listened to. I’ve quickly become engrossed into this world of Mythics, danger and secrecy.
Two Witches and a Whiskey had all the aspects that I look for in a great story.
I really like Annette’s writing style. Two Witches and a Whiskey has a well thought out plot, with enough action, conflict, and humour to keep me engaged. Tori is a great character and exhibits many of the personality traits that I love; resilience, humour and self-reliance. However, she’s continuing to grow and develop with each book. The other main characters play an important role in Tori’s story too. Aaron, Kai and Ezra are amazing characters and I love that we’re learning more about them.
Cris Dukehart’s performance felt perfect for this story.
I liked the pace at which Cris reads the story and her slight tonal adjustments for the dialogue. Cris has definitely captured Tori’s character and the feel of the story brilliantly in her narration.
You’ll be pleased to know that Annette doesn’t leave us with nasty cliffhangers.
The threat and mystery in this story are satisfactorily concluded by the end. However, I’m left keen to find out what Tori will get caught up with next and how the events in this story will affect her life.
I’d recommend Two Witches and a Whiskey to fans of action and adventure stories. Especially those enjoy escapades within urban fantasy settings and don’t mind a bit of slow-burn romance thrown in.
